One of our main missions here at Macaroni KID is to help make parents' lives easier. For parents of preschoolers, we've got your backs!
We have prepared a guide of some of the best area preschools, child-care options, and kid-loving businesses that can help you find the perfect early childhood program and fun activities for your preschoolers.
Many programs open registrations in early January, and this guide will help you be ready for them! And some programs offer special discounts for MacKID readers. Be sure to tell them you saw them on Macaroni KID!
This a living guide!
We will update the guide with additional preschools, child care centers, and preschooler-friendly businesses as appropriate throughout the school year. This resource is available to you anytime and can be found in the GUIDE section of our website. It is an always-relevant EVERGREEN guide.
Note: This guide covers much of the northern Anne Arundel County area. The Annapolis and Bowie-Crofton-Odenton Macaroni KID sites have separate guides if you're looking in those areas.

Our specially designed preschool adventures program is rooted in the belief that learning through doing is fundamental for young children and movement is essential to learning. Movement integrates and anchors new information into our neural network. Physical competence is fundamental to cognitive development during early childhood.
Rolly Pollies GymBugs acquire self-confidence and self-esteem in part through successful physical activities. As our GymBugs master and refine basic motor skills, they see themselves as more competent and capable.
This confidence transfers into the classroom where we provide a skill-based learning program where activities are tailored to meet your child’s academic needs. We are dedicated to creating an irresistible play-based learning environment and are passionate about seeing all children as competent, capable, creative, responsible and resilient individuals.

Our Episcopal identity shapes a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child is known, supported, and celebrated. Preschool families also appreciate the continuity of our Preschool–8th Grade model, which provides a close-knit community, strong relationships, and a consistent approach to whole-child learning.
